April 19th –Willowgrove’s  AGM at Rouge Valley Mennonite Church. Dinner is at 6:30, program and meeting at 7:15.  The evening will feature Willowgrove’s 50th Anniversary Year. Please RSVP to info@willowgrove or phone 905-640-2127 if you plan to attend the dinner. If you have any Willowgrove/Glenbrook photos from the 70’s and 80’s, we would love to borrow them for the AGM.  The main 50th Anniversary Event will be at Willowgrove on Saturday, July 21.  More details to  come.

Saturday, April 21, 7:00pm– If you know Trevor, you are invited to attend a community wedding shower for Trevor Pogue and Michelle Prince at Rouge Valley Mennonite Church. Gifts of practical kitchen or household items, money donations or best wishes will be appreciated. An open mic will be in place for anyone inspired to share a song or instrumental piece on the theme of love!

Many faith leaders and constituents have expressed to me a desire to learn about the history of Indigenous peoples in Canada and about what reconciliation means in our local context. To faciliate this learning, I am hosting a community discussion on Reconciliation: Understanding Our Responsibilities, featuring special guest, Grand Chief Alvin Fiddler of the Nishnawbe Aski Nation. May 25th & 26th: Get involved at the New Hamburg Mennonite Relief Sale ! Run for Relief: Register for the 5k Run or 2k Walk. Play Music:  Busking-style musicians are needed Friday evening or Saturday (contact Dan at dan@ddajohnson.com) Plants: Start plant cuttings and bulbs now and bring them to our Plant Tent for the Sale.
