LOOKING AHEAD – WIDEMAN MENNONITE CHURCH EVENTS

  • Tuesday, February 19 (9AM-2PM): WMCEC. Join us at sewing circle to quilt and tie comforters. Men and women are welcome. Bring your lunch. Beverage will be provided.
  • Friday, March 1 at 6:30pm: Small Group Meeting/ Fellowship at the Fortier Residence . Everybody is welcome. Sign up sheet is posted in the foyer.
  • March 17, 7:00 pm: An evening of music with HeartCry, a group of fellows who love to sing.
  • Sunday March 24: Soup lunch fundraiser for MDS related service trips after the worship service.
  • Sunday, March 31: Annual General Meeting.  If anyone has items to be considered for the agenda, please submit to Linda Ramer by February 24.
  • Saturday, April 20 (8:00-10:00am): Ladies’ Breakfast in the WMC Basement. Sign up sheet is posted in the foyer .

LOOKING AHEAD – MENNONITE COMMUNITY EVENTS

March 1, 2019 at 11 am: World Day of Prayer service will be held at Grace Anglican  in Markham .  All are invited. The guest speaker will be Julie Ginter from Ajax.  She is an award winning honey producer and active Christian leader in the GTA. Julie will be speaking on the art of beekeeping and highlights of Slovenia. Slovenia was the country who wrote the World Day of Prayer service for 2019.  Regarding honey production, Slovenia lead the campaign to have May 20th declared as world beekeeping day. Tuesday, March 5th: Pancake and Biblical Storytelling Festival
You are invited to the Second Annual Pancake & Storytelling event hosted by Toronto United Mennonite Church.  Come and join our local Mennonite churches tell selections from the Book of Acts. Pancakes are served at 6:30 and the concert begins at 7:30. March 1st to 3rd: Winter Camp for Grownups – . This camp is for 20 and 30 somethings who wish they could do camp again! This “choose your own adventure” weekend is a collaborative project between Silver Lake Mennonite Camp and Pastors in Exile. Saturday April 27th – 7:30 pm -@ Rouge Valley Mennonite Church  is pleased to host the Pax Christi Chorale who will present  Mozart’s Requiem under the direction of David Bowser, Artistic Director and Conductor. Refreshments will be served following the performance.
