LOOKING AHEAD – WIDEMAN MENNONITE CHURCH EVENTS

Today, January 20 is Covenant Sunday, where we will have an opportunity to renew and re-demonstrate our commitments to Jesus and to each other as part of Wideman Church. If you are unable to make that commitment today for any reason but want to do so at a later date, please see one of our pastors or elders (Ken, Dawne, Barb, or Linda).

LOOKING AHEAD – MENNONITE COMMUNITY EVENTS

 January 25th, from 7pm-9pm, at Parkview Auditorium in Stouffville, the KAIROS Blanket Exercise is being hosted by Willowgrove.  This is an opportunity to be a part of a unique, participatory history lesson that fosters truth, understanding, respect, and reconciliation among Indigenous and non-indigenous peoples.  Phone the Willowgrove office at 905-640-2127 to register.

January 31 – February 2, 2019: Breslau Mennonite Church presents Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat . Tickets for this church-wide musical production went on sale December 2 at 11:00am.  For more information visit www.breslaumc.ca

March 1, 2019 at 11 am: World Day of Prayer service will be held at Grace Anglican  in Markham .  All are invited. The guest speaker will be Julie Ginter from Ajax.  She is an award winning honey producer and active Christian leader in the GTA. Julie will be speaking on the art of beekeeping and highlights of Slovenia. Slovenia was the country who wrote the World Day of Prayer service for 2019.  Regarding honey production, Slovenia lead the campaign to have May 20th declared as world beekeeping day.
