Announcements

We extend our sympathy to Lois Burkholder, Ed, Phil, Steve and families on the death of Lawrence Burkholder, January 25, 2018. Visitation will be held at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main St. North, Markham on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.  A funeral service will be held at Rouge Valley Mennonite Church, 7452 Reesor Road, Markham on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 2pm.  Burial will take place at 1pm in Cedar Grove Cemetery, located beside the church. Lawrence’s passion for ministry focused on sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone he met, from the pulpit to the dialysis chair. As such, donations to the Kidney Foundation and Emmanuel International would be most appreciated.

This week Pastor Ken Driedger will be on duty from Sunday through Thursday.

The Sunday School discussion of the draft constitution and covenant will be extended to February 4th, with Linda Ramer leading the discussion.

We have been informed by the Refugee Sponsorship Support Program’s lead lawyer, that Ma Seo Vang, who is 22 years old, will need his own Bank Acct. to accompany his G5 Application. $3,000 – $4,000 is still needed to reach that goal. If you can help, please mark you envelope/cheque ‘Welcome the Stranger – Group of Five’ Thanks for your continued support..  Andrew, Sheryl & Bob and Muriel
