Cemetery By – Laws: New By – Laws for the Cemetery have been posted on the north bulletin board and on the north entry door. This is a provincial requirement. The documents will be removed in 30 days as required by law. Anyone wishing a copy can reach out to me at howardfortier5@gmail.com or ask for a copy from Quesney. You should also note that the pricing for a Cemetery Lots have increased to $950.00 to reflect current market conditions. Grave markers are also a required purchase at $169.00 plus HST at $21.97 (Total $190.97) at the same time as a Lot purchase. Please reach out to Howard Fortier if you have any questions or concerns.

Canadian Mennonite subscriptions:  All who attend Wideman Mennonite Church may receive a subscription to Canadian Mennonite. The biweekly magazine is delivered in print, by email, or both. Subscriptions are paid for collectively through MCEC. To start a new subscription, add digital delivery to an existing print subscription, or switch to digital-only, please contact Quesney. We will submit our congregation’s subscription list by March 25.

Please pray for Dorene Rudy-Snyder and her family as they mourn the death of Doug Snyder (MCEC retired pastor) who died on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the age of 77 years. MCEC celebrates Doug’s ministry at Erb Street Mennonite Church and St. Agatha Mennonite Church. He also served in several church affiliated organizations: Conrad Grebel, Mennonite Central Committee and Mennonite Central Committee Ontario. Visitation is at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral will follow on Saturday, March 23, 2019 2:00 pm at Erb Street Mennonite Church, 131 Erb St W, Waterloo, ON.

Please pray for Jean Lehn Epp (MCEC interim coordinator of youth ministry resources and MCEC pastor) and her family as they grieve the death of Jean’s father, Peter Lehn, who died on March 13, 2019. Visitation is at Reid Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 14 Russell St, Leamington, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2019. Memorial service will be held at North Leamington United Mennonite Church, 625 Road 6, Leamington, on Monday, March 19, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. You can reach Jean at jlehnepp@mcec.ca.

April 27th – 7:30 pm -@ Rouge Valley Mennonite Church  is pleased to host the Pax Christi Chorale who will present  Mozart’s Requiem under the direction of David Bowser, Artistic Director and Conductor. Refreshments will be served following the performance.
