This week Pastor Ken Driedger will be on duty Sunday through Thursday.

Thank you all for your prayers and love during Dawne’s stress leave! She is planning to return to work, albeit on a gradual basis as of today; May 6th.  Her progress will be closely monitored and we are hopeful that she will gain strength and resilience as we move ahead.  Thank you for your careful attention and ongoing support of both Ken and Dawne as they moved through this season of challenge.  Dawne will be continuing to reference with MCEC supports as she reintegrates into her role and responsibilities as a pastor of the Wideman Mennonite Church.  Sincerely Al Rempel Regional Minister MCEC’

May 20: MDS volunteer opportunity in Williams Lake, BC – Fires in central BC in 2017 destroyed thousands of acres of forest as well as many homes. May 22 to 25, at St Jacobs Mennonite Church, FUNDRAISER FOR MCC.  Church packed with quilts and fibre art. $5, students free.  Featuring preview of quilts for New Hamburg Quilt Auction;  Bonnie Murdock, feature artist;  Kate Carder-Thompson,  student,  Masters in Fine Art (fibres) at Western University. May 25th & 26th: Plan on attending the New Hamburg Mennonite Relief Sale. There is fun for the whole family including: donate & roll coins at the My Coins Count tent; kids can have fun in the Children’s Activities; or visit the Craft Tent or Ten Thousand Villages tent to find a perfect gift.

June 29th – July 1st : Family Camping Weekend at Hidden Acres Mennonite Camp. This is a great weekend to enjoy God’s beautiful creation with family and friends.
