LOOKING AHEAD – MENNONITE COMMUNITY EVENTS

October 18 and October 25 at 7:30: Care Planning training event at EastRidge Missionary church.

October 26 at 7:00 pm: You’re invited to Speaking our Peace: Young Jewish and Palestinian Voices in Conversation , at Toronto United MC (1774 Queen St. East). This presentation, by one Jewish Israeli and one Palestinian, is part of MCC’s A Cry for Home campaign.

October 27: Reading the Bible with Jesus Workshop. Beginning at 9:45am and concluding with a potluck at 5pm. Wouldn’t it be amazing to journey into Scripture with Jesus? What might Jesus say to us about our lives, our world and the hard issues facing the church today? Bryan Moyer Suderman will be leading a series of 3 workshops focused on “Reading the Bible with Jesus” for the GTA Mennonite churches. The potluck will be followed by a Bryan Moyer Suderman concert beginning at 7pm. Feel free to come for whatever part of the day you can… it’s all happening at Toronto Chinese Mennonite Church, 1038 Woodbine Avenue.

November 10, 7:00 pm: The team travelling to El Salvador to build houses in February 2019 invites you to a Dessert Coffee House at Rouge Valley Mennonite to hear about their trip and to help raise funds for the houses they will be building. Others on the team are from Listowel, Peterborough, Bobcaygeon and Bielefeld Germany. Mark your calendar for 7 pm November 10 and come partner in this exciting adventure.
