Announcements

Pastor Taucha Inrig will be on duty Monday, Wednesday and Friday this week.

We will be hearing from various members of Connect Leadership Ministries in January to see how God is at work in our sister church, Warden Underground, and in the lives of refugee/asylum seekers in Scarborough.  “Connect Leadership Ministries exists to help Christians be effective in today’s world of change.

The Willowgrove Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Johnny Wideman as the new Willowgrove Executive Director, effective February 17, 2020.  Johnny has worked at Willowgrove in numerous roles in the past and brings strong knowledge of the organization, its mission, mandate, programming and of the community it serves.  Many of you will also know Johnny from his role as Artistic Director at Theatre of the Beat and the Board is confident that the many skills he has honed in this capacity will be of benefit in further building the Willowgrove community and programming.

The Board also wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to Miriam Reesor for her exceptional leadership as executive director for the past 7 years.  Her  commitment to the organization and a continued focus on building a strong foundation that can adapt to changes in the environment have left a strong legacy for which the Board is grateful.  There will be a formal opportunity to recognize Miriam and her leadership at the Annual meeting in April but the Board would like to publicly acknowledge her leadership and wish her well as she embarks on her retirement commencing  January 1st, 2020.
