 WIDEMAN MENNONITE CHURCH EVENTS

Saturday, January 18: The Great Winter Warm Up—Come and celebrate MCC’s 100th anniversary with us. Groups across Canada and the United States will be working the same day to tie 6500 comforters for relief. Drop in between 9AM and 2PM at the church.
Soup lunch will be available. Invite your friends to tie a few knots. Talk to Nancy Taylor or Barb Ribble if you have questions.

Sunday, February 9:  Soup lunch after the service to raise funds for the MDS trip to West Virginia. Details to follow.

SAVE THE DATE: February 22nd is the Coldest Night of the Year Walk in support of Restore Canada.  Please let Taucha know if you are able to walk with the WMC team, or sponsor us as we raise funds to help our neighbours in Markham-Stouffville!

MENNONITE COMMUNITY EVENTS

January 18: The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2020 will begin.  All Christians are encouraged that week to take time to pray for Christian unity, study a common scripture together and join in ecumenical worship gatherings. This year’s theme is based on Acts 28:2closeERROR: The IP key is no longer supported. Please use your access key, the testing key 'TEST'closeERROR: The IP key is no longer supported. Please use your access key, the testing key 'TEST', “They showed us unusual kindness” encouraging the Church to be moved from shared prayer to shared action!  The week will conclude with an ecumenical service on Friday January 24th, at 7:30 pm hosted by St. Justin Martyr Roman Catholic Church in Markham.

Saturday February 1: The next Markham Prayer and Praise gathering will be at Living Stone Assembly (3501 Kennedy Road, just south of Steeles Ave) at 6:30pm.
