Pastors Dawne and Ken will be on duty Monday through Friday this week, but they may be working from Elmira for part of Monday .
Pray for Eva Brubacher and family as they grieve the passing of Vernon Brubacher on January 23. Vernon taught at Rockway Mennonite Collegiate for five years and Waterloo Oxford District Secondary School until his retirement in 1987. He served as part-time assistant pastor at Hillcrest Mennonite Church, New Hamburg, as well as taking on the pastoral charge at Hunta Mennonite Church for two years during his retirement. Visitation will be at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A funeral service and reception will be held at Hillcrest Mennonite Church on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 11:00 am.
Pray for the family of Dr Margaret Loewen Reimer as they mourn her passing on January 24. Margaret was an editor and writer at the Mennonite Reporter (now the Canadian Mennonite). Friends are invited to share their memories of Margaret with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 5-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Waterloo North Mennonite Church, 100 Benjamin Rd., Waterloo on Tuesday, January 29 at 11:00 am.

March 1, 2019 at 11 am: World Day of Prayer service will be held at Grace Anglican in Markham . All are invited. The guest speaker will be Julie Ginter from Ajax. She is an award winning honey producer and active Christian leader in the GTA. Julie will be speaking on the art of beekeeping and highlights of Slovenia. Slovenia was the country who wrote the World Day of Prayer service for 2019. Regarding honey production, Slovenia lead the campaign to have May 20th declared as world beekeeping day.
