Announcements

Please continue to welcome Taucha Inrig, our new pastor.

Please pray for Lyne Renaud and Michel Monette, pastors at Hochma church in Montreal. Lyne is an MCEC delegate at the Mennonite Church Canada Gathering in Abbotsford, BC. She has been hospitalized in Abbotsford after experiencing chest pain which is undergoing further investigation. Please pray for her as she receives care by a cardiologist, and for Michel as he travels to Abbotsford to be with her. May God’s healing presence surround them and their family.

Updates
Lyne Renaud, co-pastor at Hochma in Montreal, is recovering from triple bypass surgery at Vancouver General Hospital, following a Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD). She, along with her husband, Michel Monette, are grateful for God’s presence and goodness through this whole experience. Please continue to pray for her healing. She will remain in Vancouver until she is able to travel back to Montreal.

I’m writing to let you know that we have a full time, paid job opportunity at Care & Share here in Stouffville.  I wondered if you could help spread the message to your congregation?  The role is full time and is for a Volunteer Coordinator / Business Manager.  The job description and details are on our website in the link below.  We are specifically looking for someone with volunteer management experience. https://mcccanada.ca/get-involved/serve/openings?keywords=&location=stouffville
Thanks for your continued prayers and support
Heather Benjamin.

Do you know a young person who is passionate about improving accessibility in the community?  If so, you may wish to share this opportunity with them: to apply to be a Youth Accessibility Leader (YAL). These young leaders will volunteer to assist an organization in developing and submitting an accessibility project proposal, valued at up to $10,000.  They can make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities, and gain valuable skills and experience. In the past, youth championed projects such as a mobile recording studio, accessible cafeteria tables, accessible play structures and tandem bikes for the visually impaired. You can read more about the program, the Youth Innovation Component of the Enabling Accessibility Fund, at this link: https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/services/funding/enabling-accessibility-fund-youth-innovation.html  Youth who are between 15 and 30 years of age can apply to be a YAL until October 31, 2019. Please encourage any youth who are interested to visit the website, or to contact my office at 905-640-1125 with any questions.
