Bulletin Announcements

The newest edition of Sacred Trust: Fostering Safe Spaces in Congregations, a publication by Mennonite Church Eastern Canada about sexual misconduct within the church, was emailed to you this week. If you did not receive the email and/or would like a printed copy, please let Leah Harder in the office know.

Ken and Dawne Driedger will be starting their roles as co-pastors of Wideman Mennonite Church next week. Please keep them in your prayers as they settle into the Markham-Stouffville area and prepare to help lead our congregation.

TODAY, 12:30pm – Taste of Cuba fundraiser meal at Toronto Mennonite New Life Centre (1774 Queen St E, Toronto, 3rd floor). $10/meal. Funds collected will go towards the restoration of restaurant/home Belen in Guatemala. The restaurant was owned by Carmen Aldana, has been in the family for 60 years and was burned in minutes in a horrible fire.

 Markham Fair Sept. 29, 30 , Oct. 1, 2 – 10801 Mc Cowan Road. Volunteers are needed for the Ten Thousand Villages crafts booth. This venture is sponsored by the Markham Stouffville area Mennonite churches. Contact Linda Ward if you can volunteer for a few hours.

Willowgrove is opening our apple orchard to the public for picking on Saturday, October 1st from 10:30am-2:30pm. The apples are on the small side due to the dry weather but are very plentiful and taste great! For more information phone 905-640-2127.

Tues Sept 27, 7:30pm – Bible Study at Wideman Mennonite Church in the upper room.

Sat Oct 1 – Markham Fair. Sleepover after at Wideman Mennonite Church, followed by worship service at Wideman on Sunday morning.
