Ken & Dawne Driedger, incoming co-pastors at Wideman Church, are in need of a local 1-bedroom apartment to be their home in Markham or Stouffville for two years beginning Oct.1. If you have or are aware of such an apartment for rent at a reasonable rate, please contact them.

Tuesday, Sept.6th. 9am-2pm – WMCEC (Women and men of Mennonite Church Eastern Canada). Join us at sewing circle to quilt and tie comforters. Men and women are welcome. Bring your lunch, beverage provided.
Sunday, September 11, we will eat breakfast together at 9:30 am to celebrate the beginning of school and Sunday School! (There will be no Adult SS that day). At 11:00, we will worship with the Journey Church. Pastor Greg will preach. Youth and Adult Sunday School will begin again on September 18 at 9:45 am.
Thursday, Sept. 15 at 7:30 pm at the church – Church Council meeting.
Saturday, September 17 all day – Toronto Mennonite Festival is celebrating its 50th Sale at Black Creek Pioneer Village and we are looking for your participation to make it another successful sale. Ways to participate: bake cookies (sign-up sheet in foyer), pie baking bee; come to enjoy the day and bring a friend. If you want to volunteer or have any questions please contact Karen Heese or talk to Milissa Fortier.
Markham Fair Sept. 29, 30 , Oct. 1, 2 – 10801 Mc Cowan Road. Volunteers are needed for the Ten Thousand Villages crafts booth. This venture is sponsored by the Rouge Valley, Hagerman, Wideman and Community Mennonite Churches.
